…Are You Keepin’ Up With the Divas?…

BLESSEDselling Author, E.N. Joy, brings readers back into the lives of the DIVAS—the Divine, Independent, Virtuous, and Animated Sisters of New Day Temple of Faith—in this fast-paced drama. Lorain is back from her sabbatical, and although God didn’t reveal to her all that she wanted regarding her past, she refuses to just let things be. When all the pieces of the puzzle come together, just how many lives will be damaged, and how many will be restored? The survivor of one of the most horrific experiences a person could ever endure, it appeared as though Sister Nita, as leader of New Day’s Janitorial Ministry, was hiding behind a mop and a broom. When her spirit discerns a cover-up amongst a couple of New Day’s members, will she turn a blind eye and mind her own business, or will she finally begin to operate in her true calling? Mother Doreen knows who she is and whose she is—a child of the King on assignment doing Kingdom work. When the plot thickens to a story on which she thought God had closed the book, will she forget who she is and what she was called to do?
The New Day Divas series, known as a soap opera in print, is full of chance, coincidence, and fate, but more importantly, it’s full of faith.
Trying to Stay Saved  will be available nationwide May, 2011. If you have not pre-ordered your copy, now is the time. You do not want to miss out on what the DIVAS are up to now!

Shelia has crafted an awesome read in her debut Christian fiction title “Delilah”.   Here’s a teaser to get your reading taste buds longing for more!

Behind every successful man is a good woman. The downfall of a good man is a woman up to no good.

Thirty-year-old Samson Judges is a prominent pastor of Peaceful Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. His church owns land that real estate mogul William Trusts wants. When Samson refuses to sell, William hires Delilah Baker to find out Samson’s achilles heel.

Money isn’t Delilah’s only motivation for taking the assignment. After watching Samson every Sunday morning on a local television station, Delilah has fallen in love with him. In her mind, there is only one person standing in her way of getting Samson—his fiancée, Julia Rivers.

Samson is far from innocent. He feels his longstanding relationship with God puts him above reproach. His weakness for one woman, Delilah, threatens to ruin his relationship with Julia, his parents, and his church. When he realizes the lengths Delilah will go through to get her man, Samson vows to protect his ministry by any means necessary.

For those who have ever wondered what goes on at a men’s retreat, The Retreat is   an in-depth look into the lives of four men who have looked for answers in all the wrong places . . . until now.

Quincy is in the final stages of his divorce, but he still wants to know which church member had an affair with his
wife. Jamal is on the verge of the promotion of a lifetime, but unresolved issues with his son, Jamir, threaten everything. Chauncey is a man who will go to great lengths for his church, but not for his terminally ill brother. Will is a young hustler who has been given a rare opportunity to make a choice that will change his life forever.

These four men are all at a crossroads in their lives. Will they lay their burdens down at the cross, or will they choose paths that will cause more harm than good? It will all be revealed at the men’s retreat, where they learn that they need God and his wisdom more than ever.

The Retreat by Author Dijorn Moss – Available at brick/mortar bookstores, online E-tailers, including Black Expressions Book Club!

Now that Deborah has finally let go of the past that haunted her for so many years, is she ready to grab hold of love? The handsome Lynox Chase certainly hopes so, as he tries everything to win Deborah’s heart. Even though she believes in her heart that Lynox is the husband God has for her, there still seems to be a barrier separating the two.

The ringing of the wedding bells between Paige and Blake can still be heard echoing,
but will the roar of temptation rear its ugly head when Paige begins to find comfort in the least-expected old friend?

Just when Tamarra manages to put out one fire, yet another one sparks. When a
relative of the person who committed an unspeakable act against Tamarra tries to
strike up a relationship with her, what really strikes up is the largest blaze imaginable. Tamarra doesn’t even have faith that God can get this one under control.

Love, Honor or Stray is the most compelling book of the New Day Divas Series yet.

Available at brick/mortar bookstores, online e-tailers, and Black Expressions.

Right Package, Wrong Baggage Gets 4.5 Stars

Below is the 4.5 star review from RAWSISTAZ:

Before Pamela Roberts got married, she knew her future husband lied and cheated on her. She was young and naïve, and had forgiven him many times because she was in love with him. She thought the birth of their son, Matthew, would stop his philandering, but she found herself constantly alone and without support. The shame she felt and the mental abuse she suffered sent her on a reckless journey to ease her pain. Six years later, a single mother and a Christian, Pamela is happy with her life. She has a nice home, a rewarding job, and a lovable six-year-old. She prays to God to bless her with a man to love and to have that love reciprocated. When Matthew offers Micah Stevenson to his mother as a present to be her future husband, her prayers were answered. Micha, too, prayed to God for his soulmate and the three of them seemingly become a perfect family until Micah reveals his past; then everything crumbles.

Emotions soar on every page in RIGHT PACKAGE, WRONG BAGGAGE. The characters are challenged with trust issues as well as being self-absorbed and judgmental. Ms. Campbell’s plausible novel held my interest to the very end, which I was disappointed to see happen.
